Brain and Nerve Surgery (Neurosurgery)

The neurosurgery unit deals with all disorders in any part of the nervous system seen in the human body. These disorders can be seen in adult individuals as well as in children.
Therefore, the neurosurgery unit carries out the treatment of individuals of all ages. When the treatments performed within the unit in question are insufficient, a surgical intervention should be applied.

Brain and neurosurgery (Neurosurgery) areas of interest:

• – Removal of tumours originating from inside the brain, pituitary or spinal cord tissue or causing problems such as epilepsy by compressing them
• – Treatment of aneurysms (ballooning) in the vessels supplying the brain tissue or spinal cord
• – Treatment of disorders such as arteriovenous malformation, cavernoma, stenosis in the neck vessels called carotid stenosis
• – Treatment of disorders that develop during the formation of the nervous system, such as meningocele, meningomyelocele, which are associated with birth
• – Prevention of the so-called hydrocephalus, which is roughly defined as an increase in the amount of fluid in the brain cavities
• – Treatment of all kinds of spinal diseases, especially herniated disc, with surgical methods
• – Treatment of head, spinal cord and spine injuries
• – Elimination of nerve injuries arising from the head and spinal cord, tumours and compression of the arm and leg nerves
