6 FACTORS THAT INCREASE THE RISK OF BREAST CANCER
Breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer, especially in women. 1 in 3 of the cancer types seen in women is breast cancer. This disease accounts for 20% of cancer diseases worldwide. Breast cancer occurs when cancer cells form within the milk ducts. It is recommended that every woman, especially over the age of 20, perform a breast self-examination once a month. Mammography examination is recommended every 2 years for women over the age of 40, and every year for those over the age of 50.As a result of such examinations, the chance of treatment for breast cancer diagnosed early is around 95%. In addition, thanks to the progress made in treatment methods as a result of early diagnosis, there is usually no need to remove the breast. It is possible to protect from breast cancer, but on the other hand, there are some factors that increase the risk of cancer.

Having cancer in one breast significantly increases the likelihood of this disease occurring in the other breast. Therefore, people with breast cancer need to be extra careful.
2- GENETIC DISPOSITION
Some people carry genes that are more prone to breast cancer than others. At the same time, people whose family or relatives have breast cancer are considered to be more likely to develop this disease than others.
3- BIRTH CONTROL PILLS
Long-term use of birth control pills is another factor that increases the risk of breast cancer. For this reason, it is recommended to take a break from birth control pills from time to time.
