Healthy gums are light pink in color and have a regular shape that does not bleed. The first symptom of unhealthy gums is bleeding. If left untreated, simple gum recession will occur at first, but more gum recession will occur in the future. If left untreated, melting of the jaw bone will occur, resulting in loosening of the teeth and tooth loss. The main reason for this situation is inadequate oral care and bacterial plaque formation. The most felt in gingival recessions is the stinging sensitivity that occurs in hot and cold. According to research, some 30% of gingival recessions are due to genetic similarity. Pregnancy is the time when tooth and gum disorders caused by hormonal changes are most common. In these cases, a dentist should be visited and protective and preventive treatments should be started. In early treatments, an effective treatment can be achieved with a simple stone cleaning, correct and regular brushing habits.
